Most Popular Springs Used for Industrial Applications
Constant Force Springs
Constant Force Springs, or Conforce® Springs, are used in a wide variety of industrial applications. They can be used to drive hardware in pneumatic nailers and staplers, actuate curtains in fire dampers, counterbalance monitors and tables in ergonomic furniture and apply pressure in motor brush applications, among others.
Constant Torque Springs
Constant Torque Springs, or Contorque® Springs, are often used for cable management in which a flat torque curve and high torque is necessary, such as in electric vehicle charging stations.
Power Springs
Power Springs feature smooth cable retraction, making them ideal for applications such as tape measures, potentiometers, retracting belts, pull starters and other cord management systems.
Mechanical Reel
Mechanical Reels provide reliable power for applications needing counterbalancing, retrieving or returning, and therefore are often used as tool balancers, positioning systems and on automated assembly lines for opening and closing small doors.
Motor Brush Springs
Motor Brush Springs have the ability to produce a full backplate assembly with a Constant Force Spring welded or riveted to the backplate for brushes used in power tools, power generation, rail cars and wind turbines.
