Introduction
Vulcan Spring & Mfg. Co. has pioneered Constant Force and Variable Force spring technologies. We bring our knowledge of materials, engineering, energy and force to every challenge we face. Our single goal is to create the ideal solution to our customers' needs. We have developed PULLBOX® product security devices, plastic scrolls for informational displays, counterbalances for beverage truck doors, and the revolutionary SmartSpring for simplified inventory control. We have manufactured over 6,000 individual products for more than 2,000 customers. Our experience and computerized manufacturing equipment allow us to deliver the shortest time to market in the industry.

More than 30 years ago, the first commercial application of a Vulcan spring was used to power the speech mechanism in the "Talking G.I. Joe" doll. Today, our springs are employed in a wide range of applications where exceptional design, high quality materials and superior manufacturing techniques are required to meet customer needs.

Manufacturing
Vulcan springs owe their high quality and exacting performance to our total control of the production process. From selection of the highest grade raw materials, through manufacturing with our customized equipment, we concentrate on one thing, providing customers with the best possible product.

We are equipped with a complete tool and die department capable of making all the dies, fixtures and machines required by our production departments. We also produce prototypes for customers' products and have the ability to provide assemblies and obtain extrusions and molded parts.

Our 60,000 square ft. manufacturing facility includes all production processes under a single roof.

We can imprint customer part numbers on springs or identify them with stenciled numbers or letters.

We run our own flexographic print facility in a temperature and humidity controlled room exclusively for plastic scrolls. Another section of our facility is dedicated solely to counterbalance production.

Quality
Our innovative design experience, mechanical engineering expertise and comprehensive manufacturing capabilities shorten time to market, accelerate sample production and allow us to deliver exceptional products. We are proud of the quality of our products as well as our process. We employ QC/QA and SPC programs which allow us to meet the strictest tolerances, documented within 99.9999% of specification.

Safety is a major concern for all manufacturers and we strive to make Vulcan a safe environment for all employees. We have received the SHARP Award for our exceptional safety regulations. This award allows us to be exempt from periodic OSHA review.
